Russ Widener

I spent the majority of my career as a trombone performer and professor—primarily at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. I have also been a choir director for various churches in California and Kansas.

While freelancing in Los Angeles, I met Maggie, and we were married in 1978. We have had 6 children and 17 grandchildren.

After retiring, we moved to Rapid City in 2020, where we began attending Landmark. After the first visit, we knew we were in the right place.
