Scott Craig

Senior Pastor

Scott Craig ministers with a heart that is passionate, genuine, and life-giving. Over four decades of pastoral ministry, he has served churches in California, Hawaii, and South Dakota, and is the founding pastor of Landmark Community Church.

Pastor Scott is the father of three grown children and grandfather of three. Having walked through the pain of divorce, he is now joyfully remarried to Sara (Carstensen), his South Korean-born, South Dakota-raised partner in life and ministry. Sara has four children of her own, and together they are blessed that all seven of their children live in South Dakota. Sara shares Scott’s deep love for the Lord and for this nation. She is a gifted photographer and digital marketing professional who creates social media content, sermon visuals, and website media for Landmark Community Church.

A courageous and unwavering voice in the pulpit, Pastor Scott is allied with Turning Point USA Faith and serves as Chairman of the Family Research Council’s South Dakota Watchmen Pastors Network. In 2008, he was one of 33 pastors who joined Alliance Defending Freedom’s Pulpit Initiative in challenging the unconstitutional Johnson Amendment’s restriction on freedom of speech in America’s pulpits. He was also instrumental in bringing legal attention and action to the reality of human trafficking in South Dakota and is a founding member of the West River Human Trafficking Task Force. He speaks boldly for the unborn and ordains pro-life leaders as ministers to the unborn.

Pastor Scott is a former member of the South Dakota House of Representatives and a former chairman of South Dakota’s state family policy council. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in theology and carries the title of Grand Master, 7th-degree black belt, in the Korean martial art of Taekwondo.

Archives of his teaching broadcast, Lighting the Way, and his faith and political radio program, Behind the Curtain, are available online at LandmarkCommunity.Church.
